Self Portrait 2014

Jeremy Andrews is a figurative artist working from his studio in Powys, Wales.

Andrews works in oils and uses traditional techniques such as under painting and glazes to create startling illusions of flesh and body mass. He works meticulously to recreate what he sees, observing the finest details and subtleties in light and form.

He has exhibited at The National Portrait Gallery, London; The Scottish National Gallery, Edinburgh and The Royal Society of Portrait Painters, London. His work is held in both private and public collections.

Andrews works to commission, primarily in oils. He has painted an eclectic range of sitters including Omer Koc, Lord Denis Healy, The Lord Levy and contemporary artist Franko B.

Andrews is now represented by Darnley Fine Art, London
